The authors of the YouTube channel Carwow staged another race in a straight line, this time gathering five participants at once in the race. The unifying factor for the models of the four brands was the power plant — all drag racing rivals are equipped with electric motors. Moreover, both Tesla, Audi, Kia, and BMW have at their disposal two engines each and, accordingly, an all-wheel drive. Who will be faster — it turned out in a face-to-face battle. Tesla electric cars in the race are presented in Performance versions.
The Model 3 sedan develops 460 horsepower and 660 Nm with a mass of 1844 kilograms, and the Model X crossover already produces 780 horsepower and 1140 Nm with 2485 kilograms of mass.
The BMW iX M60 crossover weighs 2584 kilograms, but it has 620 forces and 1100 Nm in its arsenal. The Kia V6 GT crossover has a fairly modest 585 horsepower and 740 Nm but weighs 2,200 kilograms.
As for the Audi RS e-Tron GT, it is the most powerful model of the brand — 645 horsepower and 830 Nm, but it weighs almost like a crossover — 2347 kilograms. As a result, it turned out to be a battle of electric cars of different classes and with different characteristics, but the battle turned out to be very indicative in terms of how different the capabilities of models of different price categories are.
