British YouTube channel Carwow held a drag race between all-road record holder Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT and Audi R8 RWD coupe. The best of the bunch was determined by quarter-mile drag races, a pair of 50-mph (80-kilometer-per-hour) half-mile and mile races, and the final test was to evaluate brake performance when decelerating from 100 mph (161 kilometers per hour) to a complete standstill.
Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT is equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 (640 horsepower, 850 Nm), the crossover has all-wheel drive and the traction is transmitted through an eight-speed automatic. Its curb weight is 2,200 kilograms and its price in the UK is £150,000.

At the other pole is the Audi R8 mid-engine coupe with an atmospheric 5.2-liter V10 (570 horsepower, 550 Nm). The supercar has rear-wheel drive and a seven-speed robot, the two-door is 630 kilograms lighter and a bit cheaper – prices start at £133,000.
In the quarter-mile race, the rivals were separated by a tenth of a second. The supercar expectedly won, but the results of the brake test were unexpected.
