Dodge revives the Swinger name for two special editions of Charger and Challenger in retro style 1

The latest in a long line of models, cars pay homage to the original Dart Swinger, which packed huge power into a compact body, and also offered such options, as a combination of green on green with gold. The interior has a natural wood decor.

The Challenger R/T Scat Pack Swinger 2023 has Gold School accents on the radiator grille, badges, and the Shaker air intake. They are joined by retro Swinger graphics and 20-inch Gold School wheels, which are supported by six-piston Brembo brakes with black calipers.

“In the cabin, motorists will see seats made of Nappa leather and Alcantara with green stitching and a green Dodge Rhombi logo. The designers also installed faux wood trim, green contrast stitching, and a Swinger icon on the dashboard. The version of the Swinger Charger R/T Scat Pack model is largely identical, but it lacks a shaker.”

Power is provided by the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine, which develops 485 hp and 643 Nm of torque. The Charger is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, but apparently, the Challenger will also be offered with a six-speed manual transmission.

Production will be limited to 1000 units for each version. Both are wide-body variants. Dodge also noted that the models will be available in the colors F8 Green and Sublime Green, as well as White Knuckle.

Information about prices and dealerships will appear on the manufacturer’s website. Orders will open this fall.
