Chevrolet and American Expedition Vehicles have developed an extreme version of the Silverado pickup. The new brutal special edition called ZR2 Bizon was made for heavy off-road driving. The standard version of the model “Bizon” differs in some details of the exterior, a lot of protective elements, as well as modified three-liter diesel “turbo-six”.
Externally, the “Bison” can be distinguished from the standard Silverado by a black grille, as well as a matte finish body, and a dark emblem. The special edition received new floor mats and embossed headrests. In addition, Bizon was equipped with steel bumpers with reinforced towing eyes and rocker panels, and the most important parts were covered with boron steel protective plates, made by the hot stamping method.
The extreme Silverado gets 18-inch AEV wheels with 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires, Multimatic DSSV shock absorbers with spool valves, electronic interlocks front and rear, and a special off-road Terrain Mode for rock-crawling. The Silverado ZR2 Bison has 284 millimeters of ground clearance. Under the hood is a 6.2-liter V8 with 426 horsepower and 624 Nm of torque, combined with a ten-band automatic.
Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 Bizon will go on sale in early 2023. The pickup is priced at $78,490. Thus, the “Bizon” will be more expensive than the standard version of the pickup by about eight thousand dollars.
At the beginning of July, Chevrolet brought out an electric version of the Silverado pickup. Representatives of the company demonstrated the future novelty on rough terrain.
