Chelsea Truck Company showed the Defender convertible project 1

A subsidiary of the atelier Project KAHN, the Chelsea Truck Company workshop, which specializes in the refinement of British Land Rover and Range Rover SUVs, presented its next project — a convertible based on the new generation of the Defender model. At the same time, however, the novelty exists exclusively in the form of a design exercise, which, however, can be embodied in metal if there is a sufficiently wealthy client able to finance the project.

Based on the short-wheelbase three-door Land Rover Defender 90, the studio artists created an open model. Judging by the presented image, we are talking more about an off-road version of an extreme speedster than a classic convertible.

It is proposed to equip the car with a reduced-height windshield, place a safety arc reinforcing the body behind the backs of the front seats, and it is proposed to cover the luggage compartment with a carbon fiber cover. Due to these improvements, Defender 90 gets a completely new look.

No technical changes to the machine are reported. At the same time, Chelsea Truck Company offers its customers such tuning, so that the Land Rover Defender speedster can be made more powerful if desired. But first, there must be someone willing to invest in the purchase of such an unusual car.
