The Volkswagen ID line.3 will replenish the 333-horsepower charged version of the GTX. The electric car will be able to accelerate to 100 km / h in 5.3 seconds and overcome 500 km without recharging.
Electric car Volkswagen ID.3 will still get a powerful GTX sports version. It will be presented in 2023 at the same time as the hatchback update. The information was confirmed by Volkswagen spokesman Martin Huber to the British edition of Auto Express.
The Volkswagen ID.3 GTX prototype was presented a year ago and initially, the management of the German company did not plan to launch it in the series. However, the interest of the public forced a change of plans, especially since Volkswagen CEO Ralph Brandstetter liked the car.
The new Volkswagen ID.3 GTX will be an electric alternative to the charged Golf GTI and Golf R. The hot hatch is equipped with two motors (one per axle) with a total capacity of 333 hp and is able to accelerate to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds. It will be the fastest Volkswagen electric car.
Previously, the same power plant has already received the Volkswagen ID.5 GTX electric crossover, but its power was limited to 299 hp, and therefore it accelerates to a hundred a second slower. Besides, ID.3 will improve the all-wheel-drive system and add a special mode for drifting.
Volkswagen ID.3 GTX will receive the largest battery with a capacity of 77 kWh. The power reserve will be about 500 km.
Distinguishing the GTX from the standard Volkswagen ID.3 2023 will be possible by an aerodynamic body kit and 18-inch alloy wheels. Sports seats will be installed in the cabin, and Alcantara with contrasting bright green seams is used in the decoration.
