Changan Automobile showed an unusual novelty at the annual technology conference — a conceptual fastback with the CD701 index. Its premiere was illustrated by the announcement of a new sub-brand Zhuge Intelligence, under which, according to Gasgoo, Changan intends to produce the most cars filled with the latest technological solutions. Zhuge Intelligence is named after Zhuge Liang, an outstanding Chinese military strategist who lived in the 2-3 centuries AD.
The CD701 received a seamless body with a “littered” roof and an almost vertical front with a plug, on the sides of which there are LED optics with C-shaped sections dissected in the center. At the back, there is a monophonic and fake pipe. Also, the concept got deep thresholds and rims with a design resembling five petals. There are no handles visible on the doors (even hidden in the body), and the mirrors have been replaced with tiny cameras.

In the minimalistic interior, there are no displays on the sides of the front panel for broadcasting images from rearview cameras. The traditional dashboard is also missing: perhaps its functions were taken over by a screen built into the steering wheel, or the central tablet of the multimedia system.
Other interior features include a “cropped” central tunnel and light-colored finishes. The seats are equipped with footrests, and the back of the passenger front reclines far back.
The chairman of the company Zhu Huarong called the CD701 the firstborn Changan, built on a new platform for “smart” SDA cars. There are no other details about the “technique” of the concept. Whether it will be reborn into a production model or remain an exercise of engineers is still unknown.
In early August, Changan released the firstborn of the Avatr sub-brand to the home market. An electric car with a “cosmic” appearance, an autopilot with 34 sensors, and impressive dynamics, called Avatr 11, received a price tag of 349 thousand yuan.
