At the beginning of April 22, the company BYD completely curtailed production of purely gasoline cars, so now the model lineup includes only hybrids and electric cars.
At the same time, the Chinese have updated their flagship battery sedan – BYD Han EV. A restyling of the five-meter automobile has received other bumpers and modified taillights with a characteristic woven pattern.
As before, the flagship electric car can be distinguished from other models of the Han family by a deaf front grille (the electric car does not have a grille). Plus, the car got an updated design of wheels. The changes in the cabin are insignificant: the sedan kept a 12.3-inch virtual dashboard, a rotating 15.6-inch multimedia display, and a minimum set of physical buttons.

At the same time, the company expanded the range of trim materials put on the model. For example, there are several options for Napa leather upholstery. As for technology, the upgraded BYD Han EV has received a front electric motor of increased power – 245 hp. (+ 23). Note that most versions of the sedan have front-wheel drive, while the top variant is all-wheel drive.
There is an additional 272-horsepower electric motor on the rear axle of the latter. From a place to a hundred this modification accelerates in 3.9 seconds (as before). In addition, the model has a new Blade range of traction batteries.
The latter has a capacity of about 90 kWh, while previously there were 76.9 kWh batteries. As a result, a restyled sedan is now able to travel 715 kilometers without recharging (according to the Chinese cycle CLTC). In China, sales of the updated electric car will start by the end of spring 2022. Probably, the price tag for the model will be a bit higher: now the sedan is being charged from $34,000 to $45,000.
