Published photos of the Brabus 900 XLP One of Ten. German tuners have turned cult Mercedes-Benz G-Class into an extreme pickup truck. About this the official site of the atelier informs.
As the name suggests only 10 such pickups will be produced. The cost of a tuned Gelandwagen exceeds half a million euros.
A numerical designation in the car’s name indicates its power – 900 hp. Torque reached 1250 Nm. The three-ton vehicle accelerates to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds and its top speed is limited to 210 km/h. It is the world’s fastest pickup truck – at least until the production Tesla Cybertruck appears on the market. The average fuel consumption is 15.5 liters/100 km.
Such results were achieved by increasing the volume of the V8 from 4.0 to 4.4 liters and installing new turbines. By the way, the same engine got the original Gelandewagen Buggy, also created by Brabus specialists.
Brabus 900 XLP One of Ten is noticeably larger than the standard Mercedes G-Class – 5.31 meters in length. This allowed for a small cargo platform at the rear.
Moreover, the truck was prepared for a particularly tough off-road. It received the portal axles, which allowed to increase the clearance twice – up to 490 mm. Massive 22-inch off-road tires required widening of wheel arches. In addition, a winch, roof rack, and metal underbody protection were installed.
Tuning of Gelandewagen also includes trimming the interior with expensive black leather. It is diluted with carbon parts and bright red metal inserts, and on the center console, there is an expensive Panerai Luminor watch.
