
The BMW 3 Series has only recently undergone a refresh but already got the first “the charged” version from Alpina. And at first, the BMW-owned tuning studio showed a diesel version of the “three”. This is reported by the official website of BMW Alpina.

A new BMW Alpina B3 got an updated 3.0-liter turbo-diesel six. It develops 495 hp and has a huge torque of 730 Nm.

The dynamics of a BMW Alpina B3 are at the level of sports cars. The diesel car accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and reaches 305 km/h. It is currently the most powerful and fastest diesel-powered production car in the world.

Also presented is a less powerful 350 hp version of the BMW Alpina D3 S. It can accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and reach 273 km/h.
The BMW 3 Series from Alpina also includes an upgraded suspension and reconfigured steering. The car is slowed down by enlarged brakes with a diameter of 395 mm at the front and 345 mm at the rear.

BMW Alpina B3 and D3 S are offered as a sedan or wagons. The front end trim, a rear spoiler, four tailpipes, and genuine 19-inch Alpina wheels are subtly differentiated. The interior features sports seats and a new digital dashboard graphic.

Sales of “the charged” diesel BMW will start in October. The Alpina B3 will cost €88,600 and the D3 S €77,050.
