The Italian design studio and at the same time body studio, which develops and produces exclusive cars by its own efforts, has created a model S1 Speedster on the basis of the American sports car Chevrolet Corvette of the last generation. According to ARES Modena, the novelty in the body of the Targa will replace its predecessor in the body of the spider and complement the coupe ARES Modena S1 Project. The car will be released in a limited edition of 24 copies, the cost of which will be disclosed only to potential customers.

Keeping the mid-engine layout with the 6.2-liter V8 installed behind the backs of the seats, the new S1 Speedster is slightly longer, wider, and shorter than the original Corvette C8, but retained the wheelbase. The car has an all-new body, made of carbon fiber, and has not a single detail in common with the Chevrolet model.

It’s claimed that the computational fluid dynamics methodology helped to create an aerodynamically optimized body and provide the necessary cooling for components and assemblies. The interior is dominated by three screens.

The digital dashboard works in conjunction with the central display of the multimedia system, and the passenger in the front panel has its own monitor. Interior trim options include various color combinations of leather and Alcantara, but at the same time, part of the panels, including the central tunnel, will be decorated with unpainted carbon fiber.

About the technical changes are not reported. It is assumed that the ARES Modena S1 Speedster has kept the 502-horsepower motor from the Corvette C8, supplemented only by a new exhaust system, and everything else – an 8-speed robotized gearbox, adaptive shock absorbers Magnetic Ride, etc. – the rear-wheel-drive sports car remains the same as the original Chevrolet.
