In the U.S. a very unusual vehicle Limo-Jet was put for sale. It looks like an airplane, but has no wings and is a car. This wonder apparatus costs $3.79 million. About this writes the site Carscoops.
The idea to cross an airplane and a car was born by spouses Frank and Joanna DeAngelo, who owns a limousine rental service. In the early 2000s, they turned to renowned tuner Dan Garris and he helped them create an unusual vehicle.
They invested about a million dollars in the project and the work on it took 12 years. To create a limousine, a fuselage of a real Learjet was used, which was mounted on a strong steel frame.
The Limo-Jet is 13 meters long and weighs 5.4 tons. Nevertheless, the 8.1-liter V8 Chevrolet can reach 160 km/h. It is driven on big 28-inch wheels.
The interior of the limousine received neon lighting and looks very futuristic. Large leather sofas can seat up to 18 passengers. There’s a 42-inch TV, a powerful sound system, and a bar. The driver’s seat is equipped with a dashboard from the Chevrolet pickup, as well as all-around cameras.
The Limo-Jet has been offered at auction twice before, in 2020 and 2021, but it failed to find buyers. Now the car is looking for a new owner again.
