It turned out that Dallara GP2/08, painted in Ferrari colors, was on the road. Such cars in 2008-2010, competed in the series GP2, which is considered the last step before “Formula 1” (now the championship renamed to “Formula 2”.
The car is not much slower than Formula 1. Dallara GP2/08 is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 engine from Renault with 620 hp and weighs only 688 kg, so it can easily reach speeds over 300 km/h.
The racing car attracted the attention not only of other road users but also of the patrol police. The fact is that the operation of such cars on public roads is prohibited.
Policemen tried to stop the car but simply could not catch up with it. Since the car had no plates and the driver was wearing a helmet, his identity could not be established. Dallara GP2/08 has not been driven on Czech roads for the first time and the police are asking for help in finding the offender.
