A real surprise for the new 2023 Suzuki Jimny Long five-door. A small SUV of the Japanese brand has become large enough to accommodate two more side doors. Several interesting spy photos have appeared on the Web, confirming the new body version of the Japanese model.
Suzuki Jimny planned to expand its offer by adding a more practical version of the body, adding two more doors. As a result, the model turned into a five-door SUV. The new Suzuki Jimny 5 Doors was hunted at the first tests, and in Europe, where it was not expected at all. In many fascinating spy photos, you can see him being unloaded from a truck in Central Europe.
The new 5-door version of the Suzuki Jimny will have an additional 300 mm in the wheelbase to accommodate the rear doors, reaching a height of 2550 mm. The length will also increase to 3850 mm.
“Suzuki will also offer a redesigned gasoline engine for this car, a four-cylinder unit with 12-volt MHEV technology instead of the more familiar 48-volt ones, which will reduce fuel consumption and emissions of pollutants.”
The new Suzuki Jimny will be sold in Western Europe, as well as in Japan and other developing countries such as India. In some of these countries, it will be sold under the name Long, which officially debuted at the end of 2022, so its launch on the market will be postponed until 2023. An interesting option with which the Japanese company will be able to compensate for the special events that occurred with Jimny and forced it to temporarily withdraw from the market.
