Mercedes-Benz has officially announced six variants of the new GLC, including three soft hybrids and three plug-in hybrids. Nevertheless, we know that the model range will expand to include at least two models under the AMG brand.

Carscoops reader Velibor Zacic came across this prototype in the Italian city of Trieste. Although it is covered in camouflage, the four-round exhaust pipes at the rear indicate that it is a GLC 43.
Although the technical specifications of the GLC 43 remain a secret, it will probably be equipped with the same transmission as the new Mercedes-AMG C 43 4Matic of 2023.
Thus, he must abandon the V6 model of the previous generation in favor of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine, including a 48-volt soft hybrid, which in the C 43 produces 402 hp and 500 Nm of torque.
“This engine will be connected to the all-wheel-drive system and 9 automatic transmissions. Considering that the C 43 sedan can accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, we believe that the GLC 43 will be capable of a similar indicator.”
Of course, customers who need even more power will be able to choose the new GLC 63. This model may have the same transmission as the C63 E Performance 2023, namely a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a 48-volt superstructure. In total, such a hybrid produces 464 hp. Mercedes-AMG also adds a 198 hp electric motor to the rear axle, resulting in total power of 661 hp and a 750 Nm sports sedan.
