
Mercedes-AMG introduced the updated SL last fall. Now the prices for the stylish German convertible have become known. The novelty will cost at least $137,400.
The base will be the SL 55 Touring, which will soon hit U.S. showrooms. This convertible is equipped with a soft top, LED headlights, wipers with rain sensors, and an active rear spoiler. It also gets 20-inch wheels, high-performance brakes with red calipers, and ventilated discs.
Inside, there is a 12.3-inch virtual dashboard, which is behind the steering wheel AMG Performance, covered with Nappa leather, and 11.9-inch multimedia with GPS navigation and support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
In addition, the convertible boasts active multi-contour heated and ventilated front seats, as well as a massage function and Airscarf neck heating system. Available options include a heated steering wheel, 2-zone automatic climate control, Burmester surround sound system, illuminated sill plates, wireless gadget charging for 64 colors, etc.
“Equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine rated at 469 horsepower, it works in conjunction with a 9ACP and a standard all-wheel-drive system. The convertible will accelerate to a hundred in 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 294 km/h.”

The Performance package adds a front axle lift system and AMG Active Ride Control suspension. Plus it gets the AMG Dynamic Plus package, which includes yellow brake calipers and an electronic rear limited-slip differential.

Also, available for purchase is the SL 63 for $178,100. It has a more powerful twin-turbocharged V8 engine that develops 577 hp. The convertible takes only 3.5 seconds to accelerate to a hundred, and its top speed increases to 315 km/h. This package is equipped with AMG Active Ride Control suspension, the AMG Dynamic Plus package, augmented reality navigation, and the AMG Track Pace application for the proprietary multimedia.
